I have been making cards as a hobby for ages and, after much persuasion from friends and family, I have finally decided to make some cards to sell. It was a friend of mine (thanks Julie!) who inspired the name "PUNCHCARDS" - she said she liked the way I always punched a shape out of the inside of my cards. I never really thought about it - it was just something that I did. But another friend of mine (hi Katherine!) who keeps all the cards I send her found a card from Christmas 2000 with a punched out Christmas tree so I must have been doing it for a while! As an extra finishing touch and as a surprise for the recipicent I add a few "punchies" or confetti inside the card.

...and so "PUNCHCARDS" was born. I am hoping that these features will make the cards stand out even amongst other handmade ones and make them memorable. I have sold a few cards to family and friends but my main aim is for them to be sold for fundraising. I am open to suggestions if anyone would like to take my cards to sell for a good cause. (Selling is not my strong point!) You would need to be able to collect the cards from me in person, from Wetherby, West Yorkshire. So far I am supporting:

Leeds & District Autism Behaviour Communication Support Group which is a regional resource for parents of children with an autistic spectrum condition and is a registered charity. See their website at www.abcleeds.org.uk
